Local musician launches solo classical album with free concert
A Gosport composer and musician is marking the launch of his new solo classical piano album with a free live concert.
Paul Noble will be playing six compositions from his album ‘Refreshed’ at Gosport’s St Columba URC Church on Saturday (10 November) at 7.30 pm.
Entry is free and during the interval attendees can enjoy a complimentary and specially created mocktail, aptly named Refreshed.
Paul, who has loved music from an early age and started learning the piano as a teenager, will be playing his new compositions on a Yamaha grand piano.
“It’s always been my dream to compose and perform my own instrumental music and Refreshed is my second album of solo classical piano,” he says.
“My compositions are intended to be uplifting and refresh the spirit – and it’s why I’ve called the new album Refreshed,” he adds.
Paul describes his music as “neo-classical”, drawing from the classical era in terms of harmonic language, structure and form but with a range of influences including rock and jazz.
After the concert he will be available to talk about his music, compositional style and sign copies of his newly released CD.

Tracks on Refreshed include Blue Planet, Lost in Space, Moonlight on the Water, Autumn Leaves, Night Music, Safe Voyage Home, Summer Storms and Winter.
