Hello, everyone! I am delighted to introduce myself as a digital artist. My name is Debra Whelan and I am passionate about bringing art to life through the digital medium. When I hand-paint using technology, I typically start with a blank canvas on a digital device, such as a tablet or a computer. Instead of using physical paintbrushes and pigments, I employ digital tools like styluses and software applications designed for digital painting. This allows me to create artwork directly on the screen, replicating the feel of traditional painting while utilising the advantages of technology.

Another exciting aspect of hand-painting using technology is the vast array of digital brushes and effects available. These tools mimic various traditional artistic materials and techniques, allowing me to simulate the appearance of oil paints, watercolours, charcoal, or even create entirely new visual styles. Description of the Piece: The box is constructed of simple pine wood, enhanced to emulate the richness of walnut, using a "hand painted"  faux wood-grained technique, giving the box a warm and sophisticated feel.

Adorning the top of the box is a captivating decoupaged image. The centrepiece of this artwork is a majestic white wolf, exuding an aura of grace and power. The wolf's fur is depicted as fluffy and white, creating a sense of softness and beauty. Its eyes, shining in a mesmerising shade of gold, add depth and mystery to the artwork.
